Mission
Farkha is a sleeping beauty, only waiting to be waken. We see the future of historic Farkha laying in the hands of its modern inhabitants. Together with them, we are planning in a participative design process the future of the village. We, as a volunteer project, support the inhabitants through different skills to design a vivid Farkha. Our end goal is a historic Farkha, which not only enhances its inhabitants to improve their cultural, educational, and economic situation, but also gives every visitor the possibility to learn about traditional Palestinian peasant culture.

01
Documentation
In a first step, we were mapping and documenting the built fabric of Farkha. Next to traditional method of surveying, we are using new high-tech method such as 3D-scanning and Point-Cloud-viusalization.
02
Building a vision
Palestine's cultural heritage is for everybody. Nevertheless, it will be the inhabitants of modern Farkha, who will make our heritage a home. That's why we are building a shared vision through workshops. From kids to elderly, everyone is welcomed to contribute to the rehabilitation process.

03
Designing
Once we have our vision, it's time to get creative. Architects, artists, landscape designers, and dozen of other professions put the vision on paper and think about how we can revive the town in a sustainable and historic correct manner.
04
Implementation
The implementation will be of no problem for us, thanks to the active role in Farkha's inhabitants by providing volunteering labor and great skills in construction. Together with paid skilled instructors, soon, the village will look as good as new.
